The Heart & Soul of The Poet House

The Poet House is led by Co-Executive Directors Michael Hatcher and Jasmine Games, who share responsibility for the organization's vision, operations, and creative direction. They are supported by a dedicated Board of Directors and an expanding network of volunteers and committee members who co-lead core areas such as programming, production, communications, development, and community wellness. From open mics to youth residencies, each aspect of The Poet House is shaped by collective imagination, care, and accountability.This collaborative structure ensures that The Poet House remains rooted in its mission: to cultivate a care-centered community of spoken word poets by uplifting the marginalized and building spaces where art is a catalyst for change.
